Alexandra Santamaría Urbieta, who holds a PhD in Tourism Translation from the University of Las Palmas de Gran Canaria (2014), is Professor at Universidad Internacional de La Rioja (Spain). She has a degree in Translation and Interpreting from the University of the Basque Country. Her career includes teaching specialized translation at various universities worldwide, focusing on English as a second language and bilingual education. Additionally, her interests are centered on the use of new technologies in education, translation and the application of AI. She has presented her research on translation, educational innovation, and English teaching at multiple conferences and publications.
