Romaníes y trabajo social comunitario en España

Abstract

The objective of this work is the evaluative research of the social intervention with Romanian in order to establish strategies for Social Work projects with these groups. The study takes as a reference the shanty town of El Gallinero in Madrid, taking the community social work as a key tool for the social integration with families in contexts catalo-gued as of risk. This qualitative research is based on field work initiated in 2010 and carried out until 2017, where techniques such as obser-vation, participatory action research and interviewing were used. The analysis of community practices allows us to identify those that are be-neficial for the promotion of local coexistence from the participation of the members during the process and the constant mobility that the group presents throughout Europe and that, at certain times, may affect the achievement of the purposes of the projects where the population under study is inserted.
