Abstract
Haiti has emerged as a factor of regional instability that led to its consideration by the United Nations Security Council as a threat to peace and international security over the past 25 years. This work aims to analyze the importance of the international action undertaken in Haiti and determine if the response of the United Nations System towards the Haitian crisis has been able to create an environment of peace and stability that has provided the basis for significant progress in other areas.
