Resumen
Esta investigación identifica factores influyentes sobre el bienestar humano en la comunidad San Jacinto de Santay mediante la interpretación de la satisfacción subjetiva con la vida revelada en un estudio de corte transversal. La variable dependiente fue explicada por la edad, las relaciones sociales y el tiempo disponible para actividades de recreación. Se identificaron los servicios de los ecosistemas percibidos como críticos: aire limpio y alimentos silvestres (principalmente pesca artesanal). El análisis de los resultados, mediante una prueba Mann-Whitney y análisis de covarianza y redundancia, destacó un manejo sustentable y la importancia del entendimiento de los aportes del entorno natural.
