Abstract

This article analyses the judgments delivered on 21 December by the Court of Justice of the European Union in the Superliga and Royal Antwerp FC cases. These judgments concern the legal framework applicable to football. The rulings are very important as they highlight the need to bring the legal framework of football into line with European competition law
