Abstract

The list of services provided by the referees group offers serious doubts on which should be their adequate legal classification. Unlike what happens with other groups within the sporting field, there is no executive power to oblige referees to follow a particular plan, technical tactical or physical to prepare each of the matches to arbitrate. However, they usually perceived by the Federations a fixed monthly amount per match and another for arbitrated match. In short, the absence of regulatory law for this figure forces us to focus on the characteristic features of it, going for it to the social, administrative and civil jurisdiction and resulting illustrative the analysis of this issue through comparative law.
