Resum

Objectives: To compare the effectiveness of individual and groups session of music therapy with pre-adolescents with social inclusion issues. Method: In a group of six preadolescent girls with social inclusion difficulties, we analyzed the effectiveness with three of them having individual music therapy sessions. The observed and collated parameters were: the control of the impulsivity, the increase of the expression and the decrease of the tension. These variables were compared between the girls with individual sessions and those who only had group sessions, to study the respective advances in the therapeutic objectives. The analysis has been carried out through the exhaustive viewing of session videos, direct observation of music therapists, questionnaires performed for patients and caregivers, graphology consultations and the final video-survey of the girls. Results: Behavior in group meetings and accomplishing these objectives have a clear improvement and greater acceptance of girls who received individual music therapy as compared with others that only had group sessions. Conclusions: Despite good results seen in this part of the study, this article only reflects the results of a third of the whole therapeutic process intended for one academic year, and therefore the full analysis is not completed
