Through participation and collaboration belween users, platforms and companies, the quality and price of goods and services is improved, a new form of participation in the economy is facilitated. Thus, arises a new economic model, the 'sharing economy', which has changed the indivi dualistic concept of 'property'. Access to resources is determined by the development of new technologies and mobile applications. The exponential increase in the technological and urban areas, as well as the concem about the current hyperconsumption, have brought out collaborative ideas to alleviate unsustainable effects, in order to maintain or improve the quality of life of society. To carry out responsible consumption, it is necessary to change the perception of 'use' through collaborative business models. These are based on the connection of infra-used resources with users who need access -but not permanent- to them.
