This thesis, which is attached to the Doctoral Program of Analysis of Social Problems, aims, on the one hand, to address the so-called “Nordic model” and more specifically, to refer to the Swedish case, Sweden being a world reference in terms of equity and social cohesión, analyzing its resistance and challenge to global crises and on the other hand, dealing with its social structure, public policy programs on social problems and the connection, based on the sociologist Robert Merton, in crime or in some deviant behaviors, that are being observed by Swedish sociologists. In recent years, an increase in poverty and inequality rates has been detected, which especially affects certain groups such as single mothers, immigrants, young people and families with children. With the heip of a questionnaire and other aforernentioned interviews, the study and responso are assessed in terms of the social demands raised, with on-site interviews with public authorities, academic teachers, research centers and professionals, highlighting the coordination between administrations. in identifying social problems, in seeing how such problems are constructed and how they are addressed as public problems. In general, it is a study that tries to delve into the reality of the Nordic model, its resistance and weaknesses within the economic situation and its response to the current realities of its social problems, setting Sweden as its main paradigm.
