Abstract

Stress and anxiety are prevalent mental health issues that have shown an effective response to music therapy and mindfulness when applied separately. This paper presents an intervention proposal that combines both techniques with the aim of enhancing their benefits. The proposal consists of 90-minute group sessions for an audience of eight to twelve participants over a course of eight weeks. Sessions will be led by professionals specialized in music therapy and mindfulness. The proposal is expected to result in a significant decrease in stress and anxiety among the participants. The implementation of this intervention could provide empirical data on the effectiveness of the combination of music therapy and mindfulness in the treatment of stress and anxiety, thus contributing to the optimization of future interventions in this field.
