Resumo

Classrooms are contexts where emotions are part of the learning process. Teachers’ emotional abilities are key to foster positive learning environments. How do emotional abilities help both teachers and students? How can emotional abilities be developed? What programs do already exist? This paper provides evidence and helpful guidelines for developing emotional intelligence programs with teachers.
