Zusammenfassung

This communication presents an exploratory study in the educational field about the grieving process in adolescents. Firstly, documentary information is investigated, deepened and updated about complicated grief, the phases that subjects go through when faced with loss, risk factors and possible difficulties in overcoming it, among others, in various documentary repositories. Once the existing studies on this topic in SCOPUS and WOS have been examined and analyzed, those that present the most significant results are chosen, those that have used evaluation scales with the highest scientific quality, those developed in this evolutionary stage, and those written in Spanish. and English. After this search, an evaluation is carried out using the Complicated Grief Inventory (IDC), which is a questionnaire with several items that seeks to evaluate the perception and self-perception of one's own grief in adolescents from the E.S.O of the IES Vaguada de la Palma. in the city of Salamanca. The purpose of this inventory is to measure the symptoms of maladjustment in the face of the loss of a loved one and, thereby, to discriminate between normal and complicated cases of the grieving process. It has been applied to a sample of 12 adolescents at risk of complicated grief, because it has occurred in the last two years and because it belongs to a close relative. In this study it has been found that in the dimension Memory of the deceased, there are significant differences that indicate possible signs of suffering from complicated grief. Finally, being able to discriminate the difference between normal and complicated grief, several guidelines are described for possible interventions with students, thus reducing the risk of reactive depression due to lack of emotional support.
