El proyecto arquitectónico del académico José García para sustituir la puerta de los Apóstoles de la catedral de Valencia:Una propuesta de modelado 3D

Résumé

This article presents the digital construction, through 3D modeling in the Blender® 3.0.1 program, of the project proposed by the academician of the Royal Academy of Fine Arts of San Carlos of Valencia José García to replace the gothic door of the Apostles of Valencia cathedral. Garcia’s project, as is known, was never carried out. His study and analysis had always been approached from the preserved plans, in many aspects, somewhat imprecise. However, its 3D modeling allows García’s project to be seen as never before and makes it possible to understand it jointly. Its 3D construction has made it possible to deepen its design and delve into its architectural elements. The modeling proposal, despite the shortcomings of the project, helps to understand the architectural culture of the valencian eighteenth century and makes it possible to admire one of the main projects designed in this context.
