Resumen

In football, the number of goals scored or conceded is what results in a victory or not. The objectives of this work were: to know the differences of the conceded goals based on the minute and match part of the main European leagues: Spanish, English, French, German and Italian; and check in which part of the match are the most influential goals conceded, in terms of final standings of the main European football leagues. The sample was statistical data of 98 first division football teams of the 2016/2017 full season of the German, Spanish, French, English and Italian leagues. The results of the one-way ANOVA test showed a close-significance trend in the third period of the first part where teams in the English league conceded more goals. When the top four finishers were examined, the Spanish league approached the significance in goals conceded in the third part. When the last four classifieds were examined, the English league showed greater goals conceded in the third period of the first part approaching the significance. The regression analysis showed that the moment in which the conceded goals have more relation with the final standings of the main European football leagues is the second part (p<.01). It was concluded that the moment when the goals conceded are more influential on the final standings of the league is the second part.
