Resum

Creativity in gifted children is a potential, a process that requires an enabling environment for their optimal development. The genetic expression of these children in interaction with the environment can explain the structural and functional configuration of a neuronal system propitious to the abilities that precede, support and nourish the creative capacity. Adequate knowledge of physiological, cognitive and emotional variables involved in this process are essential for the optimal development of creativity in a period where exposure to favourable or unfavourable environments, or the targeting of certain domains at the expense of others, can have determining intellectual, social and emotional repercussions. This paper aims to synthesize and integrate the latest empirical contributions on the development of creative skills in gifted children during early childhood.
