Resumen

Atlético de Madrid has managed to reach sporting levels improper of a club of its economic capacity. Its performance is well above the line of regression that form the 25 clubs with more income of the world. It has been there for three years and does not seem to have begun its journey of regression toward the mean, inexorable and relentless law widely recognized. Atlético de Madrid's revenues for the last financial year was 228.6 million euros (187.1: 2016), bringing them 13th place (15th: 2016) in the Deloitte Football Money League report. Based on those revenues, Atlético's natural position would be to overcome the group stage of the Champions League and be among the 16 best teams in Europe of the season. However, Atlético have managed to play two finals of the top continental competition in 2014 and 2016, reach the semi-finals in 2017, and quarter-finals in the 2015 edition; Thus exceeding the sports expectations that could be expected depending on their level of income. All this has allowed him to reach the 2nd place in the UEFA rankings, since July 2017. The announcement of the sponsorship for the name of the new stadium: Wanda Metropolitano is one of the best news that could hear the fans, as it guarantees the change of status of the club in the medium and long term. Atletico's regression will take him to a much higher point than he started just under a lustrum.
