Resumo

The appearence of the Internet as a new means of communication has led to different behaviours ranging from changes in the content production to the displacement of the audience to different screens which are common in the age of broadcasting. The "transmedia" storytelling seems to provide a solution to the problems caused by the disruptive nature of technology. Although it hasstarted being studied as a phenomenon linked to the audiovisual production, it now extends to other forms of communication.The importance given to the theoretical and practical development makes it compulsory to study the various cultural products to determine how they fit to the ney types of "transmedia" architecture.In this papaer, we research the relationship established between animation, as a relevant audiovisul product, and "transmedia" storytelling, as a new form of organising a story. In our exploration, we use from the literature review to the interview with industry professionals to investigate both universes. Finally, we will conclude offering conclusions that our analysis has driven us: "Animation is a narrative form that perfectly fits the qualities "transmedia" architecture suggests.
