Abstract

Of the one hand, music influences the emotional states of people, and on the other hand, music invites to the movement. This fact is something that is part of human nature and present throughout the individual’s life. For this reason, music, movement and emotions should be addressed from the beginning of the student’s education. If the infant and primary school, students could become aware of the perceived emotion, this could generate a greater knowledge of himself and his environment, thus favoring self-esteem, motivation and stress reduction. In the same way, the teacher could help to develop the natural movement of the student and could use the body movement for musical expression and emotions. Thus, this work aims to offer reflections, so that the teacher can value the importance of music and movement as a form of expression and perception of emotions to raise it in the classroom and thus contribute to the integral development of students. To this end, texts from the last ten years that deal with music and movement and their relationship with emotions are analyzed. Finally, we concluded that music and movement are indissoluble elements that overlap in the development of students’ emotions in their initial training.
