Abstract
This paper studies the representation of landscapes in the rococó reliefs made by fray José de San Juan de la Cruz and Manuel de Ágreda Ilarduy. The already identified sources of his reliefs are recollected and new sources are added, which will let deepen the artistic referents of this landscape decoration. Finally, we will analyze the reasons why this topic, initially with a civil character, became to be used in religious works.
