Abstract

The documentary is considered to be one of the cinematographic spaces that best describes and exposes a filmed reality, a brief visual and sound encounter that in 1943 became, under the dictates of the Luce Institute in Italy and, later, of the Noticiarios y Documentales NO-DO in Spain, one of the key pieces for political and cultural propaganda that, thanks to its format, structure and audiovisual content, had a great social repercussion on the target public in both countries. It was during this year that the documentary production of both cinematographic institutions coincided, and their filmography has unique short audiovisual fragments with a character of their own. In this sense, our main objective in this research is, through a methodology of audiovisual analysis that delves into the behavior between the visual and sound aspects of the documentary, to deal with the structure and joint behavior of both elements with the intention of verifying the audiovisual influence that takes place in the documentaries.
