Resum

Recently, the Constitutional Court has admitted for processing two unconstitutionality appeals filed by the Parliament of the Canary Islands to demand compliance with the Fiscal Economic Regime (REF) and the 80 percent differential stipulated for audiovisual filming. The resolution of the court of guarantees is key to saving the competitiveness of the audiovisual production of the Canary Archipelago, hence its importance. This article outlines, from a legal point of view, the current situation of the differential of Canarian cinema in the light of the latest developments.
