Résumé
Introduction: Migraine is a neurological disease whose prevalence is difficult to determine. The purpose of this work it is to know the personal and work situation of patients with migraine, the characteristics of their illness, the preventive management carried out in their companies and their demands when they suffer from crisis working. Method: Cross-sectional observational study of 3.342 patients from Spain, Italy, France, Portugal, Ireland, United Kingdom, Germany and other EU countries. Anonymous survey located on EMHA-web. Results: Participant profile: woman, middle age, urban area, medium-high educational level, moderate support environment, prolonged crises, high frequency, both types of migraine, neurologist check-up or general doctors, preventive medication, symptomatic treatment with triptans and complementary therapies. Works as an employee, in the health sector or public administration. Without labour repercussion when they do not have pain and impossible during crises. He perceives work as social integration, but they do not make it easy. Occupational risks: work stress, computers, noise, work shifts. They do not know if they have a preventive or medical service in the company, and they do not know or do not go to health surveillance examinations. Little conflict by migraine and does not use adaptive labour options. Support measures proposals: time flexibility, rest / silence zones during crises, homework and adaptations in their jobs. Conclusion: The workplace is an ideal environment to improve the comprehensive approach and support patients with migraine. It allows to identify the disease, treat it, control it and send it to follow up.
