An academic activity carried out by students of Social education and Social work, based on writing and sharing stories becomes a space of intimacy that in many cases has a healing character. Half of the students choose to write very personal stories and 70% consider that his story has a high degree of intimacy. The activity of orally expressing personal narratives leads students to experience situations of active listening, empathy and confidentiality. The great majority values this activity as a moment of group cohesion and as a good training exercise for their professional skills. The success of the activity presented in this proposal encourages us to continue working on the improvement of the training curriculum. It will be necessary to train teachers in self-knowledge and skills such as empathy, listening skills and managing emotions.
