Resum

The sinking of the tanker Prestige off the Galician coast in November 2002 is the biggest environmental accident in Spain until now, and also one of the most common social research issues in the modern history of the country. One year after the judgment, which absolved the main civil and political involved, we find necessary to address a new study about the media focus on this verdict in order to check the continuity of the ideological position held by each media group 12 years ago. The results show a significant loss of interest, both in time spent and resources invested, despite maintaining the level of political discourse.
