Resum

Substance use disorders (SUDs) are a universal cause of disability. While numerous pharmacological and behavioral interventions for SUDs are available, these may not be successful for all patients. Transcranial Direct Current Stimulation (tDCS) is a non-invasive neuromodulation technique that produces excitability brain changes translated into behavioural modifications. Recent studies have shown its potential efficacy for SUD treatment. The following work put together the most recent and relevant data related to this innovative technique.
