Resum

The aim of this research is to analyze the relationship between the work goals (scale of Work goals) and the sexism (scale of Neosexism) with a sample of 448 university students (65.2% female and 34.1% male). The results show divergences in sexist attitudes (men have more sexist attitudes than women) and convergences in work goals (for both men and women to combine work with family is very important whereas to be the best at work is no longer so important). But women give more importance to helping others with their work and to get the recognition for a work well done, while men want more labour flexibility and more time for leisure and trips. In conclusion, the promotion of equitable attitudes toward sexes among the youngest could favour the convergence between sexes in their work motivations and in their professional choices
