Résumé

This article focuses on the description of the MECD / British Council Bilingual Program, a pioneer in bilingual education (English and Spanish) in Spain, and a benchmark in Europe for its characteristics, since its beginning in 1996, with the signing of the first Collaboration Agreement between the then named Spanish Ministry of Education and Science (MEC in Spanish) and the British Council in Spain, has been using an innovative methodology in the development of teaching and learning content in two languages, as well as an own organization, which makes them a successful educational experience.
