In recent years, educational laws have been given less and less organization to Art Education. The situation that exists around art in Secondary schools transforms it to a virtually residual subject, which only continues to appear on the threshold of optativity. Secondary schools are a direct testimony to the progressive disappearance of arts education. Each course has less hours taught by art teachers, and there are less opportunities for students to study artistic subjects. However, it should be pointed that, in parallel with this sharp decrease in the number of active art teachers, each year there are almost one hundred students in the art specialization, taking the Master's Degree in Secondary Education. These students (who wish to be future teachers in Secondary schools) will have little opportunity to achieve a permanent job, given the current situation that exists in the field of Art Education. Moreover there are no specialists in visual arts in the primary school stage. It is not easy to understand this situation because nowadays we have the most visual society in history. This arts education also helps students to develop their creativity, a crosscutting theme that make active involvement in all aspects of life. In addition, an education in the arts helps us to be open-minded people. To improve it must be changed before it is too late. Based on this reality, the project "Second Round: Art and fight in the Valencian Institutes" was presented. This work was followed to create a written material with images that compile everything that has been lived and is being lived. The interest of the research is in the fact that is compiling and demonstrating in a materialized way a study centered on the project "Second Round: Art and fight to the Valencian institutes". This project vindicates the role of Art Education in Secondary School, and reveals what art teachers and their students do in the centers. This makes society conscious of the existing situation in the education in arts. The Second Round project helped to make the problem visible. This project covered a whole course for twelve Secondary schools in the province of Valencia, and finalized that stage with an exhibition at "La Nau", a Cultural Center of Valencia. During that time, it made the work realised by students and teachers visible, who offered lectures, courses, performance and different actions and initiatives. In addition it promoted the creation of the Valencian Association of Teaching of Drawing (AVPD). In the second part of the project, the technological field was designed, in which contributions were made in conferences. In addition, the new Second Round, with special emphasis on ceramics and design, has already started its courses and its first actions. It was a very important step for the defence of Art Education. The art was communicated from different fields to reach society. It was necessary to continue during this progress of art's claim. We have already achieved essential goals that must be maintained and identified. Specifically, this research started to contribute to the dissemination of the project and to encourage future research to focus on the environments of Art Education.
