I am a philosopher and social scientist. My academic work lies at the intersection of ethics, epistemology, social and political philosophy, sociological theory, human rights, and the philosophy of liberation. My work critically examines modernity, neoliberalism, contemporary forms of domination, and the epistemological, ethical, and political conditions of shared life. I have taught undergraduate and graduate courses in philosophy, sociology, and the social sciences, especially in ethics, sociological theory, social and political philosophy, human rights, religious studies, and intercultural and interreligious dialogue. My research has developed around four main areas: the constitution of modern identity, the critique of neoliberalism from the perspective of human rights, the relationship between dialectics and realism within the framework of the philosophy of liberation, and the critical analysis of enactivism and contemporary cognitive science from an ethical-political perspective. I am currently working on a research project in critical political economy, in dialogue with David Harvey and Enrique Dussel, focused on the relationship between capitalism, life, living labor, exteriority, and social suffering. I am the author of Miseria planificada: derechos humanos y neoliberalismo (Planned Misery: Human Rights and Neoliberalism, 2019), Mente y política: dialéctica y realismo desde la perspectiva de la liberación (Mind and Politics: Dialectics and Realism from the Perspective of Liberation, 2024), and La vida en la historia. Más allá de la biología, la fenomenología y las ciencias cognitivas (Life in History: Beyond Biology, Phenomenology, and the Cognitive Sciences, 2026, forthcoming). In addition to my European academic training and career, I have studied Buddhist philosophy in academic and monastic institutions in India, Nepal, Sri Lanka, and Southeast Asia. This training included four years devoted to solitary contemplative retreats, which has given an experiential dimension to my work on Buddhist philosophy and contemplative practices. During my years teaching at Universidad del Salvador in Buenos Aires, I also deepened my study of theology and the philosophy of liberation, actively participated in spaces of dialogue with priests committed to the option for the poor, and was appointed as a consultant for the International Organization for Migration (IOM) and the Government of Argentina. This trajectory has enriched my work on religion, secularization, migration, intercultural and interreligious dialogue, and human rights. I have translated several specialized works in these fields.
